Ecuador: Ecuadorians marched on Saturday, in Quito against President Daniel Noboa’s government.

University students and social organisations called for a march from the Central University of Ecuador to downtown. Initially, protesters aimed to reach the National Palace, but found access blocked, according to Ecuadorian media.

On Thursday, workers, teachers, students, and representatives of social organisations marched in Ecuador's capital to protest President Daniel Noboa's policies.

The protests were called by various Ecuadorian unions for social investment, labour guarantees and protection of the social security system.

Some protesters set fire to a cardboard figure of the president, as others chanted slogans and banged pots. On Thursday, demonstrators marched to Quito's historic centre, to the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
